Early Orthodontic Treatment – It’s Not Too Early to Start Thinking About Orthodontics!

children's orthodontics in midwest city ok

The timing of braces and orthodontic treatment is very important. Achieving the ideal result and preventing future problems with tooth and jaw alignment. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children first see an orthodontist for braces as early as age seven. The purpose of an early visit is to evaluate whether changes in the child’s skeletal patterns are needed. There are several advantages to early treatment. If detected early, harmful habits can be corrected to avoid further, more extensive treatment.

During your child’s initial evaluation, we will first determine if any problems need to be addressed. Problems such as potential crowding, open bite, overbite, or gummy smiles. The Phase I treatment plan can include preventive, interceptive, or modifying treatment. Orthodontic appliances may be placed to prevent a problem from occurring. Additionally, to correct a current problem, or to help direct jawbone growth. Multiple problems with tooth alignment, gums, jaws, and facial concerns can be corrected with Phase I treatment. When orthodontic intervention is not necessary, an orthodontist can carefully monitor growth and development and begin treatment when it is ideal.

Patients Love Us!

Dr. Kadioglu is so amazing. We moved here from Salem, Oregon, where we loved our orthodontist. He recommended Dr K, as he knew him from conducting conferences at OU. Dr K and OSO Orthodontics use the latest methods of orthodontia. The staff is amazing. The techs are patient and gentle with my son, who has Autism. The office staff are super friendly. We feel so fortunate to have them all!

As an adult who decided to have Invisalign, I looked at a few places before I committed to OSO. The staff is kind and overly communicative. The providers are approachable and “picky” for perfection. I have had use of the aligners without issue and have been pleased with my treatment.

I’ve had my braces on for 5+ years before switching to OSO Edmond. I’ve had major gaps in my teeth from my previous ortho not being able to do their job properly. OSO promised to have those gaps closed in less than a year. I am here today, less than a year later getting my braces off and showing me they kept their promise. Hats off to them for showing what real customer service, truth and great quality really is.Thank you OSO for completing the remainder of my time in braces. I recommend this place to anyone who is wanting braces or wanting to switch over.

My son started his braces journey last year June, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place for him to receive orthodontic treatment. The customer service is always great we’re always greeted with a smile, additional assistance, along with appointment reminders from Iromi and Ashley. They genuinely care about their patients, facility is always clean, awesome attention to detail regarding patient care. My son sees Dr. Kratzer and he literally is the BEST, coupled with his assistant Rilee she is just so great! We love her energy so much!!! If you’re looking for a place to start your orthodontic journey, look no further than here!
