COVID-19 Update for Our Valued Patients

Update for Our Valued Patients – April 2, 2020

Following recommendations from the American Dental Association and the Oklahoma Dental Association, our offices have postponed elective procedures for the next three weeks (re-opening April 30th) in response to the spread of the coronavirus and its resultant COVID-19 illness.

Concentrating on emergency orthodontic care only will allow us to care for our emergency patients and alleviate the burden that dental emergencies would place on hospital emergency departments.  Some general dental offices will remain open to serve you if you have a true dental emergency. We can make referrals as needed.

We will continue to follow the direction of The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Department of Homeland Security, which has categorized healthcare as a critical infrastructure industry, in addition to the food supply and pharmaceutical industries.

At Orthodontic Specialists of Oklahoma, we have a special responsibility to maintain our commitment to patients with orthodontic emergencies. You can count on us to be here for you and provide you with frequent updates and recommendations during these unprecedented times.

It’s critical that we all do our part to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

What We’re Doing Differently:

·All elective procedures have been postponed until April 30th or later.

·If you have a dental emergency (pain, swelling, infection, broken or poking orthodontic wire or appliance) please call our office.  Visit www.osobraces.com to find the best number for your location.  Your call may be re-routed to another location to someone that will help you.  If it is a problem related to your orthodontic appliances we will have a solution for you.  If it is a tooth-related dental problem we may refer you to see a general dentist.

·New and existing patients with orthodontic emergencies will be seen in accordance with existing social-distancing, infection control and temperature screening protocol established for our offices.

·New and existing patients without orthodontic emergencies are asked to postpone in-office appointments until April 30th or later. We are working diligently on implementing a way to have virtual visits with you via a web platform.  Please check back for updates.

We appreciate you and best wishes for smiles and good health for all!

Sincerely,

The entire team at Orthodontic Specialists of Oklahoma
